FBI Wanted Records of Payments to Women in Raid on Trump Lawyer

The FBI was in search of records of payments to women to keep them quiet about affairs President Trump allegedly had with them, according to the New York Times.

The search warrant carried out by the FBI in New York City sought information about two women in particular: Karen McDougal, an ex-Playboy Model who was paid $150,000 by the National Enquirer to keep quiet about her affair with Trump, and Stephanie Clifford, otherwise known as porn actress Stormy Daniels, who Trump’s lawyer had admitted paying $130,000 to to keep her quiet.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who was handpicked by President Trump to serve in that role and is a registered Republican, signed off on the order personally.

President Trump was, of course, furious.
